First of all: I can hardly believe this is my job. Truly. It’s a joy and an immense honor — one I never take lightly. Working with events, travel, and new people feels almost like a miracle to a younger version of myself.
As Martin Scorsese once said:
“The most personal is the most creative. You have to make it personal. Otherwise it’s just technique. ”
Beyond creating a film that stands apart, I value relationships. That’s why, by the time filming begins, I hope I already know a lot about you. Other than quality, I don’t follow rigid standards in my work.
I believe every story carries its own depth. I notice and appreciate differences; for me, it’s essential to highlight the unique and meaningful pieces of the life that lives within you. The goal is always to reveal nuance, authenticity, and personality. I will never settle for less than that. :)

How did it all begin?
I can trace this business adventure back to a suburb house in the south part of Porto Alegre, my hometown.
My father has always been attentive and enthusiastic about music and technology, and my mother, ever supportive, bought him his first camera as a gift. Because of that, I grew up surrounded by great music and always around the cameras he kept as a hobby. When my parents went out, my older sister and I would get creative with the camera. As the quiet, younger sibling, I naturally ended up as the cameraman. We filmed everything — from scenes in the backyard to fashion runways staged on top of a bedroom bed (haha). Those little moments of mischief sparked a flame.
The camera itself wasn’t anything special, but it became a reminder of how valuable it is to preserve memories. That idea deeply inspired me, and I started getting involved with editing and motion design at a young age. After consuming countless audiovisual works, studying the craft of editing, animation, design, photography — lots of theory, lots of creativity — it all turned me into a walking brainstorm. That’s me. Vicente. Eventually, this led to the beginning of vicentefilms.
Today, I live and breathe documentary filmmaking and storytelling. I get to document real stories for a living — and that is my greatest joy. Bringing all of this into everyday life. Into your life, too.
